The next great author was John Milton. Milton wrote “Paradise Lost.”
Then his wife died and he wrote “Paradise Regained.”

I recently wrote to a friend that there are only two things one can do with a book: read it or bin it.
Well, I do read a lot of books, though I would almost never throw them away (horrible idea, in fact… but then, there are some books where the idea is not wholly unattractive) — anyway, it only occured a few days later to me that one can do a third thing: WRITE THEM!
Given that I am a writer myself, it shouldn't have taken a few days for this realisation to sink in. But that serves to show how much we are consumers nowadays and not producers anymore.
So here we are.
