Introduction
(vero;2024-Nov-23)
We have been quite a few times in Spain. We spent four weeks touring the country in 1989, did a four-week trek across the island of Tenerife in 1991 and made several short visits to Madrid and surroundings. But it was all before the times of digital photography, so we have not much to show for it. We returned in Summer 2024 after a long pause and realised that we should have come back much earlier; we explored Northern Spain and we simply loved it.
We enjoyed our trip of 2024 so much that we returned in the Spring of 2025 and spent one month touring Castilla y León, Extremadura and Navarra.
We have a few pages with more to come:
- A hint of Far West in Navarre: the Bardenas Reales National Park
- Learn about the Rosario de Cristal, an impressive religious procession taking place every October in Zaragoza (Aragon)
- Follow our road-trip of 2025: a day to day travel report through Castilla y Léon, Extremadura and Navarra with pictures
You can also browse through our photo galleries.
Finally, we have a full site map of all Spain pages; the other sections have local maps (see Blog Map and Photos Map and index pages (see Blog Index and Photos Index).
