The map shows the itinerary of our road-trip of 2025. The red dots are our overnight stops and the purple cameras indicate some of the sites we visited. The red dots are our overnight stops and the purple cameras indicate some of the sites we visited.

The trip is broken up in four parts:

  1. Castilla y Léon (1): Start in Ascain (French Basque Country), León (with a day-trip to Astorga), Salamanca and the Sierra de Francia
  2. Extremadura: Plasencia and Valle de Jerte (Sierra de Gredos), Mérida and Cáceres. With day-trips to Medellin and Trujillo
  3. Castilla y Léon (2): Segovia, Valladolid, Palencia, Saldaña and the Roman villa of la Olmeda
  4. Navarra based in Olite: Estella, the Roman Villa of the Muses of Arellano, Javier and Leyre, and finish in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (French Basque Country)
