Nepal 2010

We have to admit it: we're certified Nepal addicts, labouring under that affliction since our first visit, in 1994.

After our slightly disappointing outing in the autumn of 2008, we decided to visit the Khumbu region once more, in the spring of 2010.

You'll find loads of tales, photos and information about that three-month trip and Nepal in general here.

Panoramas Nepal 2010: Everest Region and Annapurna Sanctuary

We have always been great fans of panorama shots (see Thomas' website for some earlier examples and hints as to how to produce them).

And of course, the valleys and mountains of Nepal are a veritable paradise for panorama lovers: we took many photos specifically with the idea of producing nice, large panoramas. So, back home, we stitched them all together and here are the results.

Because of the large number of panorama shots (around 80), we have taken the liberty to chose five we think are the Best of the Best.

We've split all available panoramas into seven loosely connected blocks on their separate pages, starting with the Walk-in to the Khumbu and ending with our trek up to the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Clicking on a panorama will open a larger, more detailed version in a separate tab; you may have to scroll to see the whole panorama. However, even these large versions are still only about half the size of the originals, so anyone interested in the truly humongous copy, please contact us.

The Walk-out to Jiri, via Pike Peak (12):

Last but not least, the Annapurna Sanctuary trek (8+1):
