GR34: Léon

(vero;2024-May-15)

All our pictures have been taken in the winter month of December during a one-week sojourn in Goulven. They are proof that the weather can be very nice in this season with the added bonus of hardly a soul around. Of course, we had also cloudy and rainy skies but those are the days when we take the time to visit towns and the hinterland.

Brittany in winter? Highly recommended!

Goulven and surroundings with sandy dunes to the east, the rocky coast of Brignogan-Plages to the west and the old settlement of Menez Ham as a highlight (Map data ©2019 Google).
The church of Goulven. The coast around Brignogan-Plages. The coast between Brignogan-Plages and the lighthouse at the Pointe de Beg Pol. Low tide. On the way between Guissény and Saint-Michel (Plougerneau). The lighthouse at the Pointe de Beg Pol, west of Brignogan-Plages. Looking back on the Pointe de Beg Pol. The coast between the Pointe de Beg Pol and Menez Ham. The coast between the Pointe de Beg Pol and Menez Ham. The coast between the Pointe de Beg Pol and Menez Ham. The coast between the Pointe de Beg Pol and Menez Ham. The picturesque coastguard house facing the sea at the old hamlet of Menez Ham. The place is now a tourist attraction void of inhabitants except for a gîte open to hikers. View on the coast from the coastguard house at Menez Ham. The coastguard house at Menez Ham with its entrance facing inland. Impressive rock on the beach west of Menez Ham. Menez Ham beach at low tide.
