East and West Sussex
(vero;2024-July-25)
East Sussex
We are often seen hiking along the coast of East Sussex, which main attraction (for us) are the cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head (we have many pictures of the site, but have not sorted them yet, bear with us…)
- East Sussex is also home to the 1066 Battle Field of Hastings, a must-see for history buffs, the place where the fate of England turned for ever.
West Sussex
West Sussex is nearer to us and we have often been in Chichester (very nice cathedral and city walls), visiting the nearby Roman villa of Fishbourne on one occasion.
- We enjoyed the impressive stately home of Petworth House very much and spent a great day at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead watching the Nation Cup in July 2024 (and guess who won… the British of course!)
Go back to South East England, go on to 1066 Battle Field and Abbey or go up to England
