Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and beyond

(vero;2024-Aug-06)

Lulworth is where we go with visitors from abroad when we want to show them the English coast at its best and guarantee a jaw dropping scenery. We have been very often there and have selected a few pictures.

Lulworth Cove on a bright sunny June day. This photo is a panorama, click the cross on the right below the photo (or press F if viewing on a desktop) to expand it to its real size and use the bottom scroll bar to navigate through it.
The emblematic Durdle Door on a busy June day in 2021. The beach of Durdle Door, view to the west. Walking along the coastal path is hard work! View of Bat's Head with its small natural arch. View to the east from Bat's Head onto the beach with Durdle Door visible, jutting into the sea. Continuing westwards along the coast. The Portland Peninsula is visible on the left and the cruise ships anchored off Weymouth Bay were moored there awaiting the lifting of Covid19 restrictions (June 2021). Durdle Door beach, Bat's Head and a cruise ship. The coastal path along the cliff top. Bat's Head with the small Bat's Hole. The coastline west of Bat's Head. Sailing ship on a calm sea.

Go back to Lulworth Firing Range Walk, go on to The Portland Peninsula and Chesil Beach or go up to Dorset or South West England
