South West England
(vero;2024-July-25)
South West England includes the counties of Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and the Isles of Scilly.
- See a motley of sites visited in the region during our English Heritage Year in 2022 or
- Explore by county for more:
- Wiltshire: we are often there. We like Salisbury and its cathedral, best visited on a Saturday to enjoy the market which reminds us of France. It is also home to the unmissable site of Stonehenge.
- Dorset: that's where we go when we want to see a great coastline (the so-called Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Site) without having to drive too far away.
- Devon: a bit further away but well worth the effort with a picturesque coastline and Dartmoor, just to name a few highlights.
- Somerset: with natural beauties such as Exmoor and the Quantock Hills, a great coastline and architecture gems such as Bath or Montacute House.
- Not forgetting Cornwall or Bristol…
